Ovlazene Guide to Leather Care

Last Updated: November 3, 2026

Start with the care label for your particular pair. A smooth polished surface, a waxed finish and a soft, napped surface can respond differently to moisture, brushing and conditioner. Check the product description before choosing a treatment.

For routine cleaning, gently remove loose dust with a clean, soft cloth. If the care instructions allow a damp cloth, wring it out before wiping. Let the shoes dry naturally away from radiators or direct heat.

Before applying a product approved for that finish, test a small area that will not be seen when the shoe is worn. Let it dry and compare the color and texture. If you cannot identify the finish, ask us about the particular item before treating it.
